About us

A Lexington agent who got tired of watching neighbors get confused.

We're a small local agency, not a call center. Here's who we are, why we teach for free, and exactly how we get paid.

It started with a kitchen table and a stack of mail. Someone in the family was turning 65, the mailers had been arriving for months, and nobody could tell which envelope mattered and which one was an ad dressed up to look official.

That's when it clicked. The problem was never that people can't understand Medicare. The problem is that almost everyone explaining it has something to sell, and the parts that would actually help you tend to get skipped.

So we started teaching a class. No plans, no pitch, no forms. Just the four parts, the deadlines that carry lifetime penalties, the honest trade-offs, and the mistakes we've watched cost real families real money. We told people to bring their questions and we'd stay until they ran out.

Hundreds of Kentuckians later, we still teach it the same way. It's the most useful hour we know how to give, and it costs us nothing but time.

Founder, Tyler Insurance Group

Austin started Tyler Insurance Group after watching his own family struggle through Medicare paperwork. His standard for every class: if his grandmother wouldn't understand it, it doesn't get said that way.

Every workshop is taught alongside Andrew Horn, a licensed Kentucky agent who has walked hundreds of people through their first Medicare decisions. Andrew runs the Q&A and won't end it while a hand is still up.

The part most people won't tell you

Exactly how we get paid.

We're licensed Medicare agents. After a class, some folks ask us for one-on-one help. When we help someone find coverage, the insurance company pays us a commission. You never pay us anything, and your price is exactly the same with or without us.

Most people who attend never become clients. That's genuinely fine. Our bet is simple: if we're useful to enough of our neighbors, the business takes care of itself.

We'd rather you know all of that up front than wonder about it later.

What you can hold us to

Four promises.

  • Education only, at every class

No specific plans discussed, no enrollment forms, no exceptions. It's an educational event and we run it like one.

  • No follow-up unless you ask

You will not get a surprise call from us. If you want help, you reach out. That's the whole system.

  • We never sell your information

Your details are used to send your class link and one reminder. Nothing else, ever, to anyone.

  • We tell you when something isn't for you

Including when the honest answer is "you don't need an agent for this." We'd rather be right than be hired.

Come see whether we live up to it.

One free hour, no pitch. If we're useful, you'll know. If we're not, you've lost an hour and you can say so publicly.
